Job DetailsJob Location: Santa Clara, CA 95054Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $70,000.00 - $81,000.00 Salary/yearPOSITION SUMMARY The Test Technician works with cross-functional engineers to perform standard testing processes on a variety of products and equipment, recording and analyzing results. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Inspect, evaluate, and document the performance and durability of parts and products to ensure confirmation. Perform product testing during the development and manufacturing processes that include engineering evaluations, R&D, and environmental qualifications; tests may include temperature exposures, thermal and mechanical shock, vibration, immersion, and electrical testing. Perform tests on components before assembly and during development and final assembly, ensuring all tests are conducted in accordance with test instructions and documented procedures. Operate environmental chambers and vibration tools. Perform measurements/assessments necessary to maintain compliance. Maintain accurate and complete electronic documentation of all inspection and test results. Provide technical support to operations for consistent application of quality fundamentals. Comply with requirements, standards, and applicable regulatory authorities and maintain product integrity. Perform verification and analysis using software tools to determine compliance with customer requirements and product specifications; write corresponding test reports. Work with cross-functional team to conduct required and appropriate testing. Provide manufacturing support and ensure that products are built according to customer requirements and product specifications. Assist in performing failure analysis and implementing corrective actions, when necessary. Demonstrate ethical and professional behavior in accordance with company values. All other duties, as assigned. BACKGROUND PREREQUISITES Must complete and meet company standards for background checks, employment verifications, and reference checks. US citizenship or permanent resident status is required for this ITAR facility. QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS   1 to 2 years of product and process testing experience in a PD and manufacturing environment. Prior experience with environmental tests, such as thermal/mechanical shock and temperature cycling. Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, completing tasks on time or notifying the appropriate party and providing an alternate plan. Knowledge of fundamental test concepts, practices, and procedures and associated metrics. Prior experience making recommendations to improve processes or procedures to promote efficiencies. Strong attention to detail, including demonstrating accuracy and thoroughness in all work assignments. Prior experience collecting data and using intuition and experience to complement data. Sound problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner, including the ability to skillfully gather and analyze information and develop alternative solutions. Good communication skills, including the ability to express ideas and thoughts verbally and in writing, keep others informed, select the appropriate communication method, and exhibit good listening and comprehension. History of balancing team and individual responsibilities, exhibiting objectivity and openness to others’ views, giving and welcoming feedback, contributing to building a positive team spirit, putting the success of a team above your own interests, and supporting everyone’s efforts to succeed. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Associates degree in a technical field preferred.. WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS Overtime work may be required, as assigned. Extended working hours may be necessary to achieve business objectives. This is an on-site position in Santa Clara, CA. Remote work is not possible for this role. Our office has a 9/80 work schedule, Monday through Friday. With or without reasonable accommodation, requires the physical and mental capacity to perform all essential functions effectively, in addition to other demands. Extended periods of working at a computer at a desk, as needed. Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
