The Vice President, Human Resources serves as a hands-on strategic business partner to executive leadership and leads all aspects of the people function, including talent acquisition, total rewards, employee relations, performance management, leadership development, culture, engagement, HR operations, and compliance. This role develops and executes people strategies that support business objectives while ensuring an exceptional employee experience.

As part of our team, your core responsibilities will be:  

  • Develop and execute the company's global people strategy in support of business objectives and long-term growth.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive leadership team on talent, organizational effectiveness, culture, succession planning, and workforce strategy.
  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight of all Human Resources functions, including talent acquisition, payroll and benefits, HR operations, employee relations, performance management, learning and development, engagement, and compliance.
  • Partner with business leaders to design organizational structures that enable scalability, efficiency, and achievement of strategic goals.
  • Partner with the CEO and CFO to design and implement compensation, equity, and benefits programs to ensure competitive, equitable, and fiscally responsible rewards practices.
  • Support Compensation Committee activities, including market benchmarking, plan design, and governance
  • Develop and implement talent management and succession planning processes to build leadership capability across the organization.
  • Sponsor and champion performance management, leadership accountability, employee development, and recognition programs across the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations in all jurisdictions where the company operates.
  • Provide strategic guidance on complex employee relations matters, workplace investigations, risk management, and policy development efforts.
  • Champion employee engagement, inclusion, and company culture initiatives that support attraction, retention, and productivity.
  • Manage workforce planning, restructuring activities, change management initiatives, and organizational transformations.
  • Establish HR metrics and analytics to guide decision-making and measure the effectiveness of people programs.
  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing HR team while fostering operational excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee HR systems, processes, and controls to ensure efficient, scalable, and compliant operations.

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Psychology, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including significant leadership responsibility across multiple HR disciplines.
  • 7+ years of experience leading HR teams in a fast paced, growing or complex organization.
  • Proven ability to lead in a hands-on, collaborative manner while balancing strategic priorities and day-to-day execution; prior experience in a start-up is helpful.
  • Demonstrated success partnering with executive leadership teams to align people strategies with business objectives.
  • Experience leading core HR functions, including talent acquisition, total rewards, performance management, employee relations, organizational development, compliance, and HR operations.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR compliance requirements.
  • Experience with managing a global PEO or EOR and leading global HR programs and supporting international employees.
  • Proven ability to lead organizational change, workforce planning, restructuring initiatives, and culture transformation efforts.
  • Experience developing and implementing compensation, equity, and incentive programs.
  • Strong analytical and business acumen with the ability to leverage people metrics to inform decisions.
  • Excellent executive presence, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to influence senior leaders and drive results through collaboration and accountability.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting a public company environment.
  • Experience working with Compensation Committees and Board-level governance matters.
  • Background in biotechnology, life sciences, med-tech or healthcare
  • HR certification such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP preferred.

The estimated base salary range for this position in the United States is $250,000 - $275,000. In addition to base salary, full-time employees are eligible to participate in Quantum-Si's discretionary annual bonus program and may receive equity awards as part of the total compensation package.

Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, the position level, relevant skills, knowledge, experience, qualifications, geographic location, internal equity, and market data.
