Description


APPLE INC has the following available in San Diego, California. Sensor technology scoping and proof-of-concept investigations Support Product definition; Market Surveys, Competitive Analysis Collaboration across the board, with different technology teams to evaluate the System design options & trade-offs Cross-functional leadership; Guide and mentor to engineers Sensor & Module design and model End-to-end application (sensor, signal processing, ASIC, algorithm configurations) definition and design; Oversee complete module design and execution, tracking various architectural and execution risks, schedule and inter-team collaboration; Review and/or define algorithms for various signal and noise conditioning requirements - Design, prototyping and integration of Sensor, (rigid/ flexible) PCBs and ASIC application; Optimize design across multi-disciplinary boundaries (e.g., Mechanical, Materials, Process, FW/SW/ Algorithms, Cal /Test, Reliability, Operations) Failure mode analysis, root cause diagnosis, and system-level; Problem solve - Statistical data analysis and data mining Design analysis, characterization, and validation Business travel to support product development. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $131,622 - $184,800/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Minimum Qualifications


Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related field. Experience and/or education must include: Analog circuit design analysis including RLC circuits, frequency domain transfer-functions, amplifiers etc. Failure mode analysis, root cause diagnosis, and system-level problem solving. Sensor design, simulation, prototyping and integration into systems. Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, SPICE, COMSOL or similar packages. Fundamental knowledge of sensor physics, analog analysis, circuit design, linear algebra and statistics.
