Job Title: Director of Human Resources
Location: Southern California
Compensation: $170,000 to $195,000 annually

About Us: We are a premier, family-owned home services company operating in Southern California. We are currently seeking a Director of Human Resources to partner directly with our Chief Financial Officer.

The Role: We are looking for a true working leader to manage a workforce of approximately 260 employees. You will be responsible for heavily complex California HR compliance, ensuring we strictly follow extensive regulations for over 200 field and trade employees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily overtime requirements, including 8 and 12-hour rules.
  • Ensure absolute compliance with meal and rest break premiums.
  • Oversee complex payroll structures including salary, hourly, commission, and production pay.
  • Direct the interactive process for reasonable accommodations and manage CFRA leaves.
  • Build defensible records for terminations and conduct thorough workplace investigations.
Qualifications:
  • Extensive, deep knowledge of California wage and hour laws.
  • Proven experience managing field-based trades workforces.
  • Strong ability to present risk assessments to executive ownership.
  • Bilingual Spanish skills are highly preferred.
