Supervisor: Supply Manager


What You’ll Do:

  • The Instrument Technician is responsible for the sterile supplies and maintenance of the ambulatory surgical center.
  • Preparation, storage, processing, and sterilization of instrument trays and supplies.
  • Ensures and maintains adequate supply levels. 
  • Checks for broken, defective, out-dated, or missing items and reports them to the manager.
  • Adheres to procedures in accordance with department and OSHA guidelines

Requirements

What You’ll Need:

  • High school diploma or higher education.
  • Experience in a medical or hospital environment, preferably working with medical surgical supplies. Sterile processing certification a plus.  
  • Excellent communication skills.  
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.  
  • Other duties as assigned as necessary and may vary at times, as needed, by your immediate supervisor or as directed by the company.
  • Requires extensive mobility (walking an standing) while performing duties. Periodic pushing, pulling, and lifting of patients and/or equipment. May have exposure to patients with communicable diseases. May have exposure to hazardous equipment or agents. GH 9/9/13
