This role supports the planning, design, development, evaluation, and improvement of medical training programs, using the PADDIE framework to turn training requirements into clear, measurable courses and learning objectives. LOCATION ▪  METC Headquarters, Building 1291, 3176 CPL Johnson Rd, JBSA Fort Sam Houston, TX 78234 COMPENSATION ▪  Rate: $48.85/hr ▪  W2 Position ▪  Medical benefits available SCHEDULE ▪  Core Hours: 0700-1700, Monday-Friday ▪  Staggered arrival (0700-0800) / departure (1600-1700) windows CONTRACT DETAILS ▪  30 September 2026 - 29 September 2027 ▪  Monday through Friday; no work required on recognized federal holidays QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS ▪  Minimum of five (5) years of relevant instructional systems design experience ▪  Master-level knowledge of the PADDIE framework, instructional systems development, adult learning theory, training research, statistics, and instructional technology ▪  Experience developing learning objectives, course plans, instructional materials, testing plans, and assessment tools ▪  Strong communication and presentation skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer systems ▪  A bachelor's degree from an institution accredited by a regional or national accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education is desirable ▪  Ability to complete required DHA onboarding and, when needed for network access, the applicable background investigation and security awareness training DUTIES ▪  Use the PADDIE framework to turn training requirements into measurable learning objectives, lessons, units, and courses ▪  Plan, develop, review, and revise resident and distance-learning course content, learning maps, course plans, and instructional materials ▪  Design and evaluate testing and assessment tools, analyze exam and survey results, and recommend curriculum improvements based on the data ▪  Collaborate with curriculum staff, Program Directors, Department Chairs, and other stakeholders throughout course development and approval ABOUT THE FACILITY The Medical Education & Training Campus (METC), a Defense Health Agency direct reporting organization located at Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston, is the Department of Defense's consolidated enlisted medical training institution.
