Job DetailsJob Location: 1st Community Federal Credit Union - San Angelo, TX 76904Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $20.12 HourlyUnder minimal supervision, and in accordance with established policies and procedures, uses independent judgment and knowledge based on experience to manage the Mortgage process. Provides a high quality of service in greeting members, opening accounts, processing loans, cross-selling other credit union products and services and responding to member’s questions and problems with the ultimate goal of becoming the member’s PFI (Primary Financial Institution). PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES  Represents the credit union in a courteous and professional manner. Follows the expectations set in the Member Service Values. Opens new member accounts. Responsible for all credit union products and services associated with these accounts with the goal providing a one stop member experience. Assists Mortgage Loan Officer (loan officers) by researching problems related to mortgage and real estate loans. Consistently listens to members, looking for ways to help members identify and satisfy their financial needs by cross-selling credit union products and services. Receives mortgage loan requests in person, online, or by telephone, or receives information from loan officer. Ensures loan application is current, and that all information is complete. Pulls credit report if needed and forwards all documents necessary for mortgage loan officer to review. Ensures Home Mortgage Disclosure Act Data (HMDA) is accurately captured for future reporting. Annually reviews and files the HMDA report. Sets up and maintains mortgage loan files, prints necessary forms, explains forms and terms to member, posts loan, disburses funds. Follows up on loan documents which have not been returned. Communicates with loan officer and member as necessary. Monitors mortgage loans to ascertain that all documents, files, and computer records are accurate and complete. Assures that all real estate documents (deed of trust, etc.) are properly recorded with the county clerk office in the county where the property is located. Assists loan officer in addressing all problems and requests for mortgage loan information, ensuring member satisfaction. Performs clerical work associated with providing mortgage loan payoff information and releasing liens on mortgage related loans. Receives telephone calls related to mortgage accounts. Answers questions and researches problems as requested and then works with loan officer to resolve each problem or concern. Performs a variety of clerical work related to mortgage loans and accounts and provides clerical support to mortgage loan officer. Examples include typing/word processing, producing reports, faxing, photocopying, completing forms, and filing. Verifies flood hazard and all insurance necessary have been obtained prior to booking mortgage/equity loans. Occasionally, when needed helps out in other departments by performing the same types of duties. QualificationsEducation: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience: Two years applicable public contact experience in customer service, preferably with at least one year in a financial institution.
