We are seeking a Certified Nurse Aide to join our community, committed to delivering outstanding care to our residents. As a Certified Nurse Aide, you will play an important role in providing care to the elders living in the Crest home and care for their environment by doing laundry, cooking, and housekeeping. Join our team and inspire happiness in the lives of others! 

What you'll do:

  • Assist with the appropriate implementation of the prescribed service plan. Supervise and/or administer treatments prescribed by physician.
  • Provide for the Elders' personal hygiene including, but not limited to: cleaning bedpans and urinals, changing briefs, administering appropriate peri-care, administering baths/showers, backrubs, shampoos and shaves.
  • Assist with activities of daily living including, but not limited to dressing an elder, cooking meals, assisting elders during mealtime to ensure adequate food intake, turning, and positions Elders; providing fresh water, snacks and nourishment between meals in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Appropriately assist with showering and/or baths as scheduled.
  • Provide for the comfort needs of Elders in a timely, compassionate and accurate manner.
  • Work effectively as a team member in the delivery of care to an Elder.
  • Utilize resources and materials in an efficient and safe manner.
  • Observe and immediately report elder reactions and changes in condition.
  • Maintain a safe and attractive environment for Elders and co-workers.
  • Through appropriate communication, will maintain excellent working relations among other C.N.A.s, therapists and consultants.
  • Attend additional in-service to meet the requirement set for us by Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services.
  • Be willing to accept and full-fill various coordinators’ roles and the responsibilities associated with each role.
  • Agree to follow the “no-lift policy and use the lift equipment as instructed.
  • Clean and service all aspects of rooms, baths, offices, and common areas seeking a “like new” effect.
  • Make minor repairs and adjustments; replaces light bulbs; plunges clogged sinks, commodes, or drains.
  • Set, bus and clean tables after meals.
  • Be responsible for preparing food and beverages according elder request.
  • Serve food and beverages at meal times and snacks.
  • Be responsible for washing dishes; sorts, stacks, stores clean dishes.
  • Grocery shop for the house.
  • Provide meaningful activities for residents and support other team members in their effort to provide activities.

 What you’ll bring:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum one-year related experience
  • Current Texas Nurse Aide Certification
  • Ability to drive assigned vehicle(s) or personal vehicle, with appropriate state license, following all laws applicable. Must be age 21 or older to drive on behalf of the Company.
  • Professional knowledge of basic health care practices and procedures including infection control.
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job including bending, stooping, twisting, turning, reaching, lifting, carrying, pulling, pushing, climbing, kneeling, walking, and standing over 75% of shift.
