Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager with 10–15 years of progressive accounting experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role, to join our finance team. This is an ideal opportunity for a seasoned accounting professional who is passionate about accounting, enjoys solving complex technical issues, and takes pride in developing high-performing teams.

This role is designed for someone who thrives as a hands-on leader—someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, diving into the details, and ensuring accounting excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Develop, mentor, and coach members of the accounting team, fostering technical expertise and continuous improvement.
  • Review complex accounting transactions and ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures.
  • Partner with cross-functional departments to resolve accounting matters and improve business processes.
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Assist with external audits by responding to auditor inquiries and supporting documentation requests.
  • Analyze financial results, investigate unusual variances, and provide meaningful insights to management.
  • Develop and improve accounting processes to increase efficiency while maintaining strong controls.
  • Participate in special projects, system implementations, acquisitions, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Serve as a trusted technical accounting resource across the organization.

Technical Skills

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong understanding of financial statement relationships and account reconciliations.
  • Experience researching and applying accounting guidance.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.

Qualifications and Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • CPA designation strongly preferred.
  • 10 –15 years of progressive accounting experience, with  3-5 years of leadership responsibilities.
  • Proven ability to build strong partnerships with business leaders while providing accounting guidance.
  • Experience managing month-end close and general ledger accounting.
  • Demonstrated success developing, mentoring, and leading accounting professionals.
  • Experience supporting external audits and working with independent auditors.
