About the Role
Preschool Substitute Teachers at Merryhill School have the unique opportunity to support a variety of classrooms and age groups. In this flexible role, you will step into different learning environments, follow established lesson plans, and help maintain continuity of instruction when teachers are absent. Your adaptability, professionalism, and classroom management skills will ensure students experience a productive, positive day of learning.
You will also:
- Promote positive social and emotional development in students
- Cover classroom duties and instructional tasks as needed
- Build supportive relationships with students, teachers, and school staff
- Maintain an organized, structured, and engaging classroom environment
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- CDA, Associate’s Degree, or coursework in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred
- Prior experience working with children in a school or childcare setting
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and follow instructional guidance
- Commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all students
- Must meet all applicable state licensing, health, and background clearance requirements
