Description
Member Relationship Coordinator | Part-Time | Non-Exempt | Hourly
The Jacquelyn is Sacramento's premier private social club for people who build rooms of their own. We're seeking a Member Relationship Coordinator who thrives on connection, understands the art of hospitality, and is passionate about creating meaningful experiences for our members.Â
About the Role
As our Member Relationship Coordinator, you'll be the heartbeat of our member experience. You’ll work closely with our co-owners, you'll cultivate relationships, and create connections between members. You'll be on the floor during our events, in the lounges during gathering times, and genuinely present and in the moment. If you're energized by social interaction rather than drained by it, this role will feel less like work and more like doing what you love. There are administrative tasks to ensure we are stewards of our records, so being technologically savvy is important. Â
What You'll Do
You'll be the connector; the person who remembers that Sarah just started a new business and would benefit from meeting Michael, or that James mentioned wanting to explore meditation and should join our next wellness workshop. You'll understand the nuances of our members' interests, aspirations, and needs, and thoughtfully facilitate introductions that lead to genuine friendships and valuable connections.Â
During member events, you'll be our maître d'—welcoming, attentive, and attuned to the energy in the room. You'll know when someone needs an introduction, when a guest might be ready to hear about membership, and when to simply create space for organic connection to unfold.Â
You'll champion the member experience, identifying opportunities to enhance how members engage with the club and each other. When challenges arise, you'll handle them with grace and a solutions-oriented mindset, always keeping member satisfaction at the forefront.Â
What We're Looking For
You're a natural relationship builder. Creating connections between people isn't just something you can do, it's something you genuinely enjoy. You remember details about people's lives, follow up on conversations, and take pleasure in facilitating meaningful introductions.Â
You're energized by social interaction. While others might find constant socializing exhausting, you find it fueling. Being around people, hosting gatherings, and creating memorable experiences is what lights you up.Â
You understand hospitality at its finest. Like the best maître d's, you anticipate needs before they're expressed, make everyone feel valued, and create an atmosphere where people want to return. Members should genuinely look forward to seeing you.Â
You're comfortable with evenings and weekends. Our members gather when they're not working, which means your presence is needed for evening events and some Friday and Saturday nights. You embrace this rhythm because you know the magic happens when our community comes together.
You can confidently talk about membership. You're not pushy, but you're also not shy about inviting the right people to join our community. You understand that extending an invitation to membership is about offering someone access to something valuable, and you do it with genuine enthusiasm and confidence.
You're a trusted right hand. Our co-owners need someone who can represent The Jacquelyn with the same care and intention they would. You'll be an extension of their vision, handling member relations with autonomy, good judgment, and alignment with our values.
Why You'll Love This Role
You'll be part of something special: a club that's redefining what private membership means by prioritizing authentic connection over transactional networking. You'll work alongside passionate leaders who value your expertise and trust your instincts. And most importantly, you'll spend your days doing what you love: bringing people together and creating experiences that matter.
If you're someone who walks into a room and naturally makes it better, who finds joy in the details of hospitality, and who believes in the growth of Sacramento, you’ll want to apply.Â
