WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Simultaneously lead several complex enterprise projects and division initiatives with varied deliverables, team members, and audiences requiring ongoing prioritization and relationship management.
- Define Project scope, goals, and deliverables that support internal business area goals in collaboration with business process owners, vendors, senior management, and other stakeholders.
- Recognize and identify potential areas where existing policies and procedures require change while working projects, or where new ones need to be developed, especially regarding future business expansion.
- Develop project plans, project schedules and estimates, resource plans, and other documentation necessary for successful project completion.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of state and federal laws and regulations related to credit union compliance including bank secrecy and anti-money laundering laws appropriate to the position.
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders, including leadership on progress and problem situations, risks, and issues in a timely and clear fashion.
- 7. Estimate the resources needed to achieve project goals, delegating tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
- Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
- Identify and resolve or escalate issues and conflicts within the project team.
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential risks, devise contingency plans, and track deliverables.
- Coach, mentor and motivate project team members and vendors, and influence them to take accountability and positive action for their assigned work. Provide focus and direction to team members to reach targets and deadlines.
- Support other project coordinators and project managers assigned to enterprise projects to ensure collaboration.
- Develop or Assist in Request for Proposals (RFP), including business needs and product/service expectations.
- Work with business owners to assess vendor products and interfaces impacted by projects and make recommendations for cost effective, efficient improvements.
- Conduct project lessons learned and identify any post-go-live tasks remaining.
- Assist department leadership as needed and performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICIATIONS AND PREFERENCES:
- Bachelor’s Degree Business Administration or equivalent work experience required
- Management Information Systems or Computer Science or related experience is strongly preferred
- 8+ years Combined experience in project analysis, coordination and management with a minimum of five years of experience directly managing projects or servicing lending teams. Experience managing moderately complexity projects end-to-end required, preferably in a financial institution. required
