Under the supervision of the Program Administrator the Substitute Group Aide is responsible for assisting in the implementation of the after-school program.
WORK PERFORMED
• Assist in planning, preparing and implementing daily activities.
• Assist in assuring individual childcare plans are being followed adequately. Confer with Program CoordinatorÂ
immediately if concerns arise pertaining to a child’s condition or needs.
• Assist in completion of necessary paperwork.
• Assist in food preparation, serving and clean-up.
• Clean indoor and outdoor equipment and supplies regularly; assist program participants in Activities of Daily LivingÂ
(ADL).
• Assist with program wherever else necessary as indicated by the Program Coordinator.
• Attend staff meetings, parent/staff conferences and any other training meetings deemed necessary by the ProgramÂ
Coordinator.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Division Director or Designee
QUALIFICATIONS
• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Must have some experience working with children.
• Must have pre-employment medical exam and TB test.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Must be able to lift and or carry up to 25 pounds.
• Must be able to withstand prolonged periods of standing, frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pulling and pushing
