Caldwell is seeking a Receiving Specialist to support daily logistics and receiving operations. This role is responsible for verifying incoming materials against purchase orders, identify missing, incorrect and/or poor-quality material, and unloading deliveries. Additionally, staging items for put-away or job pickup, processing receiving transactions, and supporting smooth material flow throughout the warehouse. The Receiving Specialist also serves as a primary owner of the outside paint vendor process.


Key Responsibilities

  • Unload trucks, including deliveries, returns, raw materials, and supply items.
  • Verify incoming products by counting and checking items received against purchase order details.
  • Creates the receiving transaction (Warehouse Transfers/MFG Receipt) in M1 for all incoming items after validating the shipment.
  • Primary owner of the outside paint vendor processes, including workcenter reports and stocking receipted items.
  • Identifies and segregates missing, incorrect and/or poor-quality material. Initiates the NCR process for documenting these issues.
  • Prepare and stage outside items and materials for pickup, put-away, inspection, or job use.
  • Put away all items received in the appropriate area. Jobs that require stickers can be placed in the WIP area.
  • Flexing to assist in day-to-day operations including small assembly boxing support as needed.
  • Provide receiving- and safety-related training when assigned.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment and comply with all safety rules and regulations.
  • Demonstrate Caldwell Company Values and support the “Easy to Do Business With” initiative in all work activities.


Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years receiving experience, preferably in an industrial environment.
  • One year of forklift experience.
  • One year of overhead crane experience.
  • Ability to read a tape measure and use calipers and micrometers.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and stage material effectively.
  • PC proficiency sufficient to enter data into an ERP system and use Microsoft Office to create and edit documents.


Work Environment and Physical Requirements

  • Work may involve frequent exposure to heat or cold depending on the season.
  • The noise level in the work environment can be periodically loud.
  • Employee is frequently required to walk, bend, stoop, stand, climb, kneel, talk, and hear.
  • Employee may occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to see with corrected vision to nearly 20/20 or better.
