The Force Protection Division is looking for a Field Service Representative to serve as the primary field technical support resource responsible for installation, configuration, calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and sustainment support of deployed prototype systems.

This position focuses on equipment readiness and technical field execution activities associated with sensors, communications infrastructure, operational technology devices, and supporting hardware deployed throughout the Rock Island Arsenal force protection ecosystem.

The Field Service Representative works closely with the Field Operations Lead, Systems Engineering team, Software Engineering team, and subcontractor technical personnel to ensure deployed systems operate reliably and meet operational performance requirements.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Install and configure sensors, communications equipment, and supporting hardware.
  • Support physical deployment activities throughout designated operational zones.
  • Configure fielded equipment in accordance with approved technical baselines.
  • Verify proper installation and operational functionality.
  • Conduct field adjustments and operational tuning.
  • Validate proper equipment alignment and performance.
  • Support environmental tuning and optimization activities.
  • Diagnose and resolve field equipment issues; troubleshoot hardware, communications, and connectivity problems.
  • Support root cause analysis of equipment failures; coordinate corrective actions with engineering and vendor support personnel.
  • Assist with installation and validation of communications infrastructure.
  • Support connectivity verification and equipment testing; assist with communications resiliency and failover testing activities.
  • Perform preventative maintenance activities; coordinate repair and replacement activities as required.
  • Support warranty-related equipment replacement activities.
  • Conduct equipment inspections and readiness assessments.
  • Support field testing and operational validation activities.
  • Assist with interoperability and connectivity verification.
  • Document installation activities, maintain equipment configuration records, and record maintenance and troubleshooting actions.
  • Provide field status updates and technical findings.
  • Maintain awareness of site-specific hazards and environmental conditions.
  • Support safe execution of field technical activities and environmental, safety, and operational compliance activities.

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent and 3 – 5 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Field Service Engineering or Technical Field Support activities on DoD programs.
  • Experience with Multi-Vendor Integration Activities and Communications Infrastructure Deployment in Operational Technology (OT) / Industrial Control Network (ICN) Operational Environments.
  • Hands-on installation and maintenance experience
  • Strong leadership and coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent activities with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Ability to work independently in field environments.
  • Strong customer support mindset.. 
  • US citizenship and current secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Physical security or force protection systems experience.
  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies and management
  • Experience supporting US Army or other DoW customers
