We are seeking a Sign Fabricator to join our team. As a sign professional, you will play a vital role in driving results to meet challenging company goals and client expectations with signs of the highest quality.
Job Summary:
The Sign Fabricator builds and assembles commercial signs and related components using fabrication equipment, hand tools, power tools, and welding techniques. This position requires attention to detail, mechanical ability, and the ability to follow shop drawings, work orders, measurements, and production specifications.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Read and follow shop drawings, measurements, and work orders.
- Cut, drill, grind, form, bend, weld, and assemble aluminum, steel, and other materials.
- Fabricate sign cabinets, frames, raceways, brackets, structural components, channel letters, and related sign assemblies.
- Operate fabrication tools and equipment safely, including saws, punches, knives, grinders, drills, and other hand and power tools.
- Verify measurements and completed work for accuracy, quality, and conformance to production specifications.
- Identify and communicate drawing, material, or fabrication concerns to the appropriate team members.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Follow all company safety procedures and use required PPE.
- Assist other production areas as needed and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous fabrication, welding, manufacturing, or sign industry experience preferred.
- Ability to read a tape measure and interpret basic fabrication drawings and shop drawings.
- MIG welding experience preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a production environment.
- May be required to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, based on production needs.
