Provides individualized medical nutrition therapy to ambulatory and hospitalized patients as part of a multidisciplinary team in a tertiary care center. Precepts dietetic interns; mentors and trains new staff. Provides direction and collaborate with dietetic technicians and administrative support staff.

 

Works collaboratively with providers and other allied health care staff to develop and deliver programs and services that promote both therapeutic and wellness initiatives. Researches best practice to ensure effective interventions and measures outcomes of interventionsDemonstrates effective public speaking/presentation skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in nutrition or related field. Graduate of an Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) internship or approved training program. Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR), or eligible to obtain registration upon hire, must obtain RDN credential within three months of hire. Licensed as a Dietitian or eligible for licensure in the state of Minnesota, with licensure requirements completed within three months of hire. Previous clinical dietetics experience, advanced degree in nutrition or related field, and/or nutrition-related specialty certifications are preferred.
