This position provides leadership guidance for the management of plant energy utilities, NRE and CAP major plant projects; maintenance planning processes and craft technical training.  Serves as supervisor for the department’s crew leaders and is considered second in command in Maintenance.  Provides maintenance support to the operating departments through routine repair, preventive maintenance, non-routine expense repair, management and energy resource availability planning.
Qualifications: Minimum of two-year technical degree (or equivalent experience) and a minimum of four years’ experience supervising skilled crafts personnel.  The incumbent must have a high degree of practical and technical knowledge in electrical and mechanical maintenance and repair.  Previous exposure to planning, scheduling, and preventative maintenance techniques is important.
Roles and Responsibilities:

- Lead a multi-craft maintenance crew to effectively repair plant assets; provides training and development in the areas of safety, technology, safe work procedures, and craft skills to achieve a safe, efficient maintenance operation.
- Provides planning services on plantwide basis to Capital/NRE and major maintenance jobs as needed. Â The position also controls and administers plant wide maintenance type contracts.
- Maintain and service to all assigned plant equipment, including (but not restricted to) electrical power and control, fabrication and construction of plant equipment, replacement of damaged and worn equipment components and service and repair to plant automotive equipment. Â
- Manage core-planning efforts to obtain major job completions in a cost-effective manner with minimum production disruption
- Review maintenance work schedules and performance to minimize errors or delays and improve scheduling effectiveness.
