Position Overview: Sales Manager
We are seeking a Sales Manager to grow private event and corporate group revenue across all six of our restaurants. This is a group-level role reporting to the Director of Sales. You carry the sales number for every location. You work with each Operating Partner but you do not report to them, and you are not responsible for daily floor operations.
Responsibilities
● Private Events: Respond to every inbound event inquiry within one business day and manage each one to a signed contract. Conduct site visits, build proposals, and negotiate contracts for private dining, full buyouts, and banquets.
● Location Coordination: Know the private dining rooms, capacities, and package pricing at all six restaurants, and route each inquiry to the room and concept that fits it. Hand off confirmed events to the location team with a complete BEO and a pre-event walkthrough.
● Marketing Partnerships: Develop local partnerships with hotels, venues, sports and entertainment properties, and area businesses. Work with the Director of Sales on promotions, seasonal packages, and campaigns that support booked revenue. Represent the group at industry events, chamber functions, and hospitality association meetings in Orlando, Tampa, Lakeland, and Seminole County.
● Forecasting and Accountability: Forecast monthly event revenue by location and explain variances against forecast. Flag any location falling behind its event revenue target and bring a plan to correct it.
● Guest Retention: Follow up with every host after the event and convert one-time bookings into repeat business. Track competitor pricing, packages, and availability in each market and report what you find.
Qualifications
● 3 to 5 years of restaurant, hotel, or hospitality sales experience with a record of hitting revenue targets.
● Direct experience selling and executing private events.
● Working knowledge of BEOs, event contracts, deposit schedules, and service charge structures.
● CRM discipline. You keep your pipeline current without being asked.
● Strong written communication. Proposals, contracts, and follow-up emails go out clean.
● Comfort presenting to corporate clients and meeting planners.
● Multi-unit or multi-concept sales experience (preferred).
● Existing relationships with Central Florida or Tampa Bay corporate accounts, hotels, convention services, or meeting planners (preferred).
● Experience with restaurant technology such as OpenTable, Toast, or Tripleseat (preferred).
● Fine dining or steakhouse background (preferred).
Compensation
Salaried exempt position with a base salary plus uncapped commission on booked and executed revenue. Full details are reviewed during the interview process.
