Join our team at Strategic Sight Consulting LLC for an opportunity as an Aircraft Coordinator supporting OPTEVFOR and Air Test and Evaluation Squadron ONE (VX-1). This role supports Naval aircraft assigned to test efforts by coordinating aircraft configuration, maintenance status, utilization, instrumentation, flight schedules, and external squadron dependencies to help ensure operational test and tactics events are ready and executable.


Responsibilities and Background


  • Attend program review meetings and provide aircraft asset availability and configuration status reports.
  • Track aircraft utilization for assets assigned to test efforts and develop planning tools that support efficient use of available aircraft.
  • Maintain detailed aircraft configuration records and track configuration changes, including initiation and status of aircraft configuration change forms (pink sheets).
  • Track aircraft deficiencies and assess their impact on upcoming test events; assist in identifying resources needed to correct deficiencies.
  • Develop aircraft utilization plans that balance maintenance and operational requirements with scheduled test events.
  • Coordinate and track instrumentation, aircraft configuration, and maintenance actions supporting test execution.
  • Define, document, and investigate aircraft, configuration, and test-asset issues and support solutions to schedule conflicts.
  • Coordinate integrated-test efforts with other platforms and squadrons as required.
  • Translate long-range project goals into weekly plans and develop, maintain, and coordinate weekly and daily flight schedules.
  • Participate in operations coordination meetings with outside entities and squadrons as necessary to support mission execution.


Requirements


  • United States citizenship.
  • Minimum Top Secret security clearance. Specific task orders may require Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) eligibility; personnel must be eligible for the clearance required to begin performance at task award.
  • Knowledge and/or expertise with Naval aircraft programs.
  • Current working knowledge of Naval aircraft maintenance procedures, specifically experience executing maintenance in accordance with the OPNAV 4790 series.
  • Current T&E configuration management experience, specifically managing Department of Defense assets.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with Microsoft Office software.
  • Ability to support aircraft scheduling, asset utilization, maintenance coordination, configuration tracking, and operational test execution.
  • Ability to meet additional task-order-specific qualifications based on the assigned SUT and test environment.


Desired Qualifications


  • Direct experience supporting VX-1, OPTEVFOR, a Naval aviation test squadron, or a comparable DoD aircraft test organization.
  • Experience coordinating aircraft flight schedules, maintenance actions, instrumentation, configuration changes, and multi-squadron dependencies.
  • Familiarity with aircraft configuration-control documentation and test-event readiness processes.
  • This position is contingent upon contract award
