Position Overview: 1Above Quality Services LLC is hiring temporary facility cleanout laborers for a short-term commercial cleanout project in Richmond, Virginia. We expect to hire approximately nine temporary employees for this project. The assignment is expected to last approximately one week and is contingent upon contract award and notice to proceed. Employees will work as part of a crew removing designated office furniture, cubicles, shelving, boxes, debris, blinds, and other approved materials and preparing cleared areas for renovation.
Primary Responsibilities
ï‚· Remove designated desks, chairs, tables, shelving, cabinets, cubicle components, boxes, blinds, debris,
and other approved items.
ï‚· Assist with breaking down cubicles and modular office furniture before removal.
ï‚· Move and stage furniture and debris for transport to the facility loading dock and roll-off dumpsters.
ï‚· Use hand trucks, furniture dollies, pallet jacks, carts, hand tools, and other material-handling equipment as
directed.
ï‚· Keep work areas, hallways, and loading routes safe and orderly during the cleanout.
ï‚· Follow supervisor instructions regarding items that must remain in place and restricted areas.
ï‚· Wear required PPE and follow company safety procedures at all times.
ï‚· Perform final broom-cleaning and removal of loose debris from completed areas.
ï‚· Assist other crew members as needed to meet the project completion schedule.
Preferred Qualifications
ï‚· Prior experience in commercial cleanouts, moving, warehousing, construction labor, demolition support,
facilities, or similar physical work preferred.
ï‚· Ability to safely lift, carry, and move office furniture and other bulky materials.
ï‚· Ability to work effectively as part of a crew and follow supervisor instructions.
ï‚· Experience with hand trucks, furniture dollies, pallet jacks, carts, or basic hand tools is preferred.
ï‚· Dependable attendance and punctuality are required due to the short project schedule.
ï‚· Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and remain productive throughout the shift.
ï‚· Ability to report to the Richmond, Virginia project location as scheduled.
Schedule and Employment Terms
ï‚· Pay: $22.00 per hour.
ï‚· Employment status: Temporary W-2 project assignment.
ï‚· Schedule: Primarily Monday through Friday, with possible weekend work depending on project needs.
ï‚· Duration: Approximately one week, subject to project requirements.
ï‚· Start date: Contingent upon contract award and notice to proceed.
ï‚· This is a temporary project position and is not being advertised as permanent employment.
