- The anticipated salary range for this position is up to $160,000 USD Annual. The actual compensation offered may vary based on job related factors such as experience, skills, education and location.
Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Supply Chain Planning IT Architect is responsible for providing onsite technical expertise and application support for Owens & Minor’s Supply Chain Planning platforms. This role focuses on SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP), Snowflake Data Warehouse, SCP AI capabilities in Snowflake, SAP CIDS, and complex system integrations. The role serves as the primary onsite liaison between business stakeholders and offshore IT teams, ensuring system reliability, data accuracy, and continuous improvement.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Act as the onsite subject matter expert for Supply Chain Planning applications including SAP IBP, Snowflake, SCP AI in Snowflake, and SAP CIDS.
- Provide advanced production support, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for planning, forecasting, and inventory management processes.
- Design, support, and optimize integration architecture between SAP IBP, Snowflake, SAP CIDS, and related enterprise systems.
- Coordinate closely with Supply Chain business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Serve as the primary onsite IT point of contact, coordinating work between business teams and offshore IT resources.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation including data models, interface specifications, and operational runbooks.
- Review system performance and recommend enhancements to improve scalability, performance, and data quality.
- Support AI/ML-driven Supply Chain Planning capabilities built within Snowflake.
- Collaborate with cross-functional global IT teams to ensure system interoperability and alignment with enterprise standards.
SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- On-call support responsibilities as required.
- Support Supply Chain Planning transformation and enhancement initiatives.
- Limited domestic and international travel as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated experience working with SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP).
- Strong expertise in Snowflake data warehousing, data modeling, and Supply Chain analytics.
- Experience designing and supporting complex system integration architectures.
- Functional understanding of Supply Chain Planning processes including demand forecasting and inventory planning.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with global, matrixed teams.
- Experience with Agile and ITIL-based delivery methodologies.
