Position Title : Maintenance Planner

Location: Richmond, CA

Reports to: Maintenance Manager

Compensation: $120,000  - $130,000 + bonus + benefits

Scope of the Position

The Maintenance Planner plans, schedules, and coordinates a broad spectrum of preventive, routine, repair and emergency maintenance activities at the facility, using the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) as a primary tool.  This role also supports the procurement of parts and supplies for the site.

 

 

What You Need To Be Successful

  • 3+ years’ experience working in a Planner/Scheduler role
  • 5+ years’ experience working within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong working knowledge in CMMS systems
  • Working knowledge of SAP preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Projects 2010 and other computer/software programs

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize CMMS (SAP) to gather information needed by Administration to determine if goals and objectives are being met (including PM WO Compliance, Safety WO Compliance, Environmental WO Compliance, Non-PM WO Efficiency, PM Accuracy, Entry of New Assets as they introduced into the process, Building PM’s , Building Schedules)
  • Complete material Take-Offs (field measurements and verifications of materials needed to do particular jobs using current Chemtrade piping specifications
  • Procurement of materials from the MTO’s
  • Take orders from maintenance personnel for materials needed to complete jobs
  • Palletizing of all job tasks materials for jobs to be performed (labeled and stored properly
  • Place jobs in scheduling pool for scheduling
  • Coordinate with production/operations for lockout and permitting, shipping if it involves tank cars, railroad, or truck loading, and maintenance
  • Track orders and costs associated with certain jobs.
  • Utilize Microsoft Project to build schedules for both short shutdowns and turnarounds working closely with the leadership within the facility
  • Coordinate with supervisors on job priority establishing priority levels for the jobs that need to be completed and materials that will be needed to finish the jobs
  • Act as back up for Maintenance Supervisor when needed
  • Other duties as assigned
