About the Role
We’re looking for a motivated, organized, and people-focused HR Generalist to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is interested in building a career in Human Resources but may not have previous HR-specific experience.
You do not need to have worked in HR before. We can teach you HR; we need you to already know how to communicate, organize, solve problems, use good judgment, and treat people well.
We’re looking for someone with strong communication skills, good judgment, attention to detail, discretion, and a genuine interest in helping employees and supporting a positive workplace.
In this role, you’ll gain hands-on experience across a variety of HR functions, including employee support, onboarding, recruiting coordination, HR administration, employee records, benefits support, and workplace programs. You’ll work closely with employees and managers while learning the fundamentals of HR from an experienced team.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as a helpful and professional first point of contact for employees with routine HR questions.
- Assist with new-hire onboarding, including paperwork, orientation, and coordinating new-hire activities.
- Support recruiting by scheduling interviews, communicating with candidates, maintaining applicant information, and assisting with hiring processes.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation.
- Assist with benefits administration and respond to basic employee questions.
- Help coordinate employee events, engagement initiatives, training, and other workplace programs.
- Assist with HR reports, spreadsheets, audits, and administrative projects.
- Partner with managers and HR team members to help resolve routine employee questions and concerns.
- Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information.
- Help ensure HR processes and documentation are completed accurately and on time.
- Take on additional HR projects as you develop your skills and knowledge.
What We’re Looking For
We’re open to candidates from a variety of backgrounds. Previous HR experience is not required.
You may be a great fit if you have:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organization and attention to detail.
- The ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong follow-through and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A service-oriented, approachable personality.
- Good judgment and the ability to communicate professionally with people at all levels.
- Comfort learning new systems, processes, and technology.
- A genuine interest in people, workplace culture, and Human Resources.
Transferable Experience We Value
Your experience does not have to come from HR. We welcome candidates with backgrounds in areas such as:
- Customer service
- Administrative or office support
- Recruiting or staffing
- Education
- Healthcare administration
- Operations
- Project coordination
- Management or team leadership
- Other roles involving communication, organization, problem-solving, or working with people
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, Psychology, Communications, or a related field is a plus.
- 0–2 years of professional experience preferred.
- No prior HR-specific experience required.
- Experience working with confidential information, administrative processes, customers, employees, or teams is a plus.
What You’ll Gain
This position is designed to provide a strong foundation for a career in Human Resources. You’ll receive training and exposure to multiple areas of HR while developing practical experience in employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, benefits, HR operations, compliance, and workplace programs.
If you’re someone who is organized, curious, dependable, enjoys helping people, and wants to build a career in HR, we’d love to hear from you.
