REGULAR DUTIESÂ
ï‚·Â Actively develop, implement and participate in all safety programs, rules andÂ
procedures. Maintain proactive working habits with all plant personnel toÂ
continuously improve overall safety.Â
ï‚·Â Administer preventative maintenance plan for reliable operation of plant processÂ
servers, and overall process network.Â
ï‚·Â Ensure that all HMI and PLC programs are kept current and backed up on aÂ
regular basis.Â
ï‚·Â Assist corporate IT personnel in maintaining reliable operation of the plant officeÂ
computer servers.Â
ï‚·Â Assist in achieving company production goals in waste and delay.Â
ï‚·Â Train existing employees to maintain competent skill level in the maintenanceÂ
department.Â
ï‚·Â Incorporate new equipment and/or processes into the existing process networkÂ
when necessary. This can include developing new PLC programming andÂ
interfacing associated HMI screens.Â
ï‚·Â Maintain proactive working habits to improve overall reliability of equipment.Â
ï‚·Â Take an active role in communications between departments, especiallyÂ
explaining new equipment additions, controls, or programming changes toÂ
production personnel.Â
ï‚·Â Troubleshoot plant upset conditions and assist in resolving equipmentÂ
malfunctions.Â
ï‚·Â Participate in development and implementation of all established companyÂ
policies. Act as a role model in compliance and enforcement for all personnel.Â
ï‚·Â All other duties and responsibilities, as assignedÂ
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSÂ
ï‚·Â Bachelors Degree in engineering preferred; chemical, electrical or mechanical.Â
ï‚·Â Minimum of four years of plant engineering or maintenance experience in anÂ
automated manufacturing environment.Â
ï‚·Â Strong verbal and written communication skills.Â
ï‚·Â Strong team building skills and ability to train others.Â
ï‚·Â Strong information gathering, investigative, and troubleshooting skills.Â
ï‚·Â Ability to plan and conduct meetings and training sessions.Â
ï‚·Â Must be proficient in PLC and HMI programming,Â
ï‚·Â Knowledge of software upgrades and license renewals.Â
ï‚·Â Must be able to work in an environment with minimal supervisionÂ
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSÂ
ï‚·Â Physically capable of climbing stairsÂ
ï‚·Â Proficient verbal and written skillsÂ
ï‚·Â Must be able to read prints, electrical and mechanicalÂ
ï‚·Â Knowledge of PLC programming experience preferably with Modicon ControlÂ
Expert or Unity control systems.Â
ï‚·Â Must have previous HMI development preferably with GE iFixÂ
ï‚·Â Familiar with Rockwell RS StudioÂ
ï‚·Â Ability to install, maintain & test various PLC hardware, temperature, pressureÂ
and level instrumentsÂ
ï‚·Â Must be familiar with IP addressing and Modbus communication protocolsÂ
ï‚·Â Ability to maintain plant office and process computer serversÂ
ï‚·Â Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time. Must have manual dexterityÂ
needed to type on a computer keyboard.Â
ï‚·Â Must be proficient in Microsoft products including Excel, Word and OutlookÂ
ï‚·Â Must possess and maintain a valid drivers licenseÂ
ï‚·Â Occasional local travel in a personal or company vehicle is required.Â
ï‚·Â Review plant alarm logs for unusual eventsÂ
ï‚·Â Attend Down Day Planning meetingsÂ
ï‚· Attend Staff meetings
