Moving Space Forward

Rocketdyne is back — and we're just getting started. We are unleashing decades of unrivaled flight heritage to power the most critical missions in space today, from the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope to an MMRTG journeying to Saturn's largest moon. National security space is shifting to proliferated constellations, creating compounding demand for exactly what we build. If you want to do the most important work of your career at a company where One, Trust, and Bold are a way of life, Rocketdyne is your place.

The Role

We are seeking a General Manager, In-Space Propulsion to lead one of our fastest-growing business units, headquartered in Redmond, WA, spanning Chemical, Electric, and Exploration Systems Propulsion. This is a full P&L leadership role driving strategy, customer relationships, operational excellence, and team performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own full P&L: revenue growth, profitability, cost control, and margin expansion
  • Build and maintain executive-level customer relationships
  • Drive new business capture and market expansion
  • Ensure program execution excellence across the portfolio
  • Champion innovation and long-range technology investment
  • Build a high-performance, accountable team culture
  • Lead with integrity, ethics, and a Lean mindset

Why This Role Matters

This is a chance to shape how humanity moves through space. Demand for in-space propulsion — orbit raising, station keeping, collision avoidance, tactical maneuvers, and responsive repositioning — is compounding as hundreds of new satellites come online. The foundation is laid. Now we need a bold leader to build on it.
