Air On Demand is seeking an experienced Residential / Light Commercial HVAC Equipment Installer who takes pride in completing clean, professional installations.

This position focuses primarily on installing and replacing HVAC equipment.

The Job

  • Install and replace residential and light commercial HVAC equipment
  • Install refrigerant piping, drain lines, electrical connections, thermostats, stands, and related components
  • Braze, pressure-test, evacuate, charge, start, and commission systems
  • Verify electrical operation, refrigerant performance, drainage, airflow, and temperature split
  • Complete minor duct transitions related to equipment replacement
  • Protect customers’ homes and maintain clean, organized jobsites
  • Explain basic system and thermostat operation
  • Complete required job notes, forms, startup information, and photos
  • Follow company procedures, safety standards, permit requirements, and applicable codes
  • Support apprentices or helpers when assigned

Basic Requirements

  • Previous residential HVAC installation experience
  • EPA certification required
  • Knowledge of refrigerant piping, brazing, evacuation, charging, electrical, drainage, and startup procedures
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams and manufacturer instructions
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Basic personal hand tools
  • Ability to safely lift equipment and work in attics, rooftops, and outdoor conditions
  • Professional appearance and communication skills
  • Ability to use smartphones, tablets, navigation, and job-management software
  • Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
