GARNEY

A General Superintendent position is available at Garney. To be considered for this position, you must have extensive progressive construction field leadership experience, including significant commercial construction and underground utility experience. This is a unique opportunity to help build and grow Garney's Mission Critical business from the ground up by developing people, establishing operational standards, and shaping the future of the group.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Lead all field operations on large-scale Mission Critical and data center projects.

• Partner with leadership to grow and develop Garney's Mission Critical business unit.

• Recruit, mentor, and develop Superintendents, Foremen, and craft professionals.

• Establish field execution standards, operational processes, workforce development programs, and scheduling best practices.

• Drive a strong culture of safety, accountability, quality, and employee ownership.

• Manage manpower, equipment, logistics, and production across multiple work fronts.

• Build and maintain relationships with owners, general contractors, trade partners, and project stakeholders.

• Help create a scalable organization capable of supporting growth in the Mission Critical market.

• Lead pull-planning efforts, phase planning, and schedule recovery initiatives to achieve critical project milestones.

• Develop and manage complex construction schedules, short-interval plans, and look-ahead schedules.

• Monitor critical path activities, production, sequencing, and resource requirements.

• Coordinate labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and trade partners to support project milestones.

• Partner with operations, project management, estimating, and executive leadership to develop and execute construction strategies.

• Help build the people, systems, schedules, and operational processes necessary to support long-term growth.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• 15+ Years of progressive construction field leadership experience.

• 7+ Years of experience as a Senior Superintendent or General Superintendent.

• Experience managing underground utility construction, including water transmission mains, sanitary sewer, force main, storm drainage, fire water systems, process piping, and large-scale utility infrastructure.

• Strong understanding of excavation, trench safety, shoring systems, dewatering, testing, commissioning, and underground utility sequencing.

• Demonstrated experience leading large commercial, industrial, manufacturing, Mission Critical, or data center projects.

• Experience coordinating multiple trades, contractors, owners, and commissioning teams in highly schedule-driven environments.

• Proven ability to develop, manage, and execute complex construction schedules on large-scale projects.

• Experience with CPM schedules, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar scheduling platforms.

• Strong understanding of critical path management, production tracking, sequencing, and resource-loaded planning.

• Experience leading pull-planning and coordination sessions with project teams, subcontractors, and trade partners.

• Proven success managing large field organizations and major construction programs.

• Data center or Mission Critical construction experience highly preferred.

• OSHA 30 required.

• Must be willing to travel.

• Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for building teams, developing future leaders, and creating scalable operations.

• Strong collaboration, problem-solving, planning, and communication skills.
