Job DetailsJob Location: PA - Indiana, PA 15701Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $30.00 - $45.00 HourlyTravel Percentage: Road WarriorJob Shift: SwingPosition Summary The Field Hydraulic Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems on Schramm TXD200 drill rigs and supporting equipment. This position requires strong troubleshooting skills, the ability to work independently, and willingness to travel to job sites when equipment issues arise. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Diagnose and repair hydraulic system failures on drilling rigs and support equipment. Troubleshoot hydraulic pumps, motors, cylinders, control valves, and hydraulic circuits. Read and interpret hydraulic schematics, service manuals, and electrical diagrams. Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on drilling rigs and equipment. Repair and replace hoses, fittings, seals, pumps, motors, and hydraulic components. Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues related to rig operation. Conduct field service calls and emergency breakdown repairs. Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation. Ensure equipment complies with company safety policies and industry standards. Assist in maintaining parts inventory and shop organization. QualificationsRequired Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic systems on heavy equipment. Ability to read and understand hydraulic and electrical schematics. Experience with hydraulic pumps, motors, cylinders, valves, and filtration systems. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Valid driver's license with clean driving record. Ability to lift 75 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to travel and respond to occasional after-hours emergency repairs. Preferred Qualifications Experience working on drilling rigs, water well rigs, oilfield equipment, or heavy construction equipment. Familiarity with Schramm drill rigs or similar hydraulic drilling equipment. Diesel engine troubleshooting and repair experience. Hydraulic certification, heavy equipment technician certification, or diesel mechanic training. Knowledge & Skills Successful candidates should have experience with: Mobile hydraulic systems Hydraulic diagnostics and testing Pressure and flow testing equipment Hydraulic component rebuilding Electrical troubleshooting Diesel-powered equipment PTO systems Winches and feed systems Hydraulic cleanliness and contamination control
