Position Summary:
The Quality Manager is responsible for leading and advancing the quality strategy and system execution across Multisource Manufacturing’s precision machining operations in multiple sites. This role drives a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction by implementing robust, scalable quality systems and processes. The Quality manager serves as a key technical leader and strategic partner to Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain, ensuring that products consistently meet or exceed customer and regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience in precision machining environments with an understanding of the metrology needs for tight machining tolerances. Additionally, strong expertise in root cause problem solving, and a proven ability to implement systemic, sustainable solutions is required. This leader will focus on streamlining new product qualifications, improving first article and in-process inspection efficiency, strengthening vendor quality management, and developing repeatable, high-impact training programs to ensure consistent product quality.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Lead the development and execution of the company’s quality strategy aligned with business and operational goals
• Champion customer satisfaction by proactively addressing quality concerns, leading corrective actions, and improving overall product quality performance
• Lead complex problem-solving efforts using structured methodologies (e.g., 8D, DMAIC, root cause analysis) to identify and eliminate systemic issues
• Establish and implement robust, repeatable quality processes to ensure consistency across all machining operations
• Streamline and optimize new product qualification processes, including PPAP/FAI readiness and execution
• Drive efficiencies and standardization in first article inspections (FAI) and in-process inspections
• Develop and implement training programs for machinists and quality personnel to ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices
• Oversee vendor/supplier quality management, ensuring specifications, expectations, and performance metrics are clearly defined and maintained
• Establish supplier performance metrics and lead supplier audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Partner closely with Operations leadership to improve throughput, reduce scrap/rework, and enhance overall manufacturing performance
• Ensure compliance with ISO / AS standards and maintain certification requirements through audits and continuous system improvements
• Lead internal and external audits, including customer and regulatory audits
• Develop and monitor key quality metrics (KPIs), providing regular reporting and actionable insights to leadership
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing quality team across multiple sitesÂ
• Promote a strong culture of safety, accountability, and quality ownership across the organization

Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or related fieldÂ
• 10+ years of progressive quality leadership experience in a precision machining environment
• Strong expertise in root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies (8D, DMAIC, Fishbone, 5 Whys, etc.)
• Demonstrated ability to implement systemic, process-driven quality improvements
• Experience managing customer quality, complaints, and corrective actions
• Strong background in new product introduction (NPI), FAI, and in-process inspection optimization
• Experience developing and deploying training programs to improve operator and machinist quality performance
• Proven experience in supplier/vendor quality management, including performance tracking and corrective actions
• Understanding of regulated environments and customer-specific requirements (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001, 13485)
• Strong technical acumen with the ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and metrology.Â
• Proven experience driving Lean and continuous improvement initiatives with measurable results
• Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Proficient in data analysis, quality metrics, and reporting tools
Preferred:
• ASQ certifications (e.g., CQE, CQM/OE, Six Sigma Black Belt)
• Multi-site quality leadership experience
• Advanced degree (MBA or Master’s in Engineering/Quality)
• Strong familiarity with ERP/MES systems and digital quality tools
