Position Overview
The Maintenance Machine Repair Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of machinery and mechanical equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. This role performs preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on NC/CNC machines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, production equipment, and building systems.
The technician will interpret diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and engineering specifications to identify issues and implement effective repairs. This role also supports general facility maintenance, including welding, fabrication, plumbing, and basic electrical work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance on NC/CNC machines, production equipment, and facility systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical issues.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and equipment manuals.
  • Complete repairs involving welding, fabrication, plumbing, and other general facility maintenance tasks.
  • Use precision measuring tools, indicators, and standard hand tools to complete repairs and adjustments.
  • Identify required repair parts using manuals and parts lists.
  • Support continuous improvement of reliability and equipment uptime.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in machine repair or a related mechanical trade.
  • Journeyman experience, journeyman card, certification, or relevant technical education preferred.
  • Strong understanding of NC/CNC controls and basic pneumatics.
  • Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
  • Basic metal fabrication and welding knowledge.
  • Ability to work safely, troubleshoot effectively, and communicate clearly.
  • Strong attention to detail, urgency, problem‑solving ability, and teamwork skills.
