Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Experienced Unarmed Patrol Response in Staten Island, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government transportation location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, assist visitors and staff, and communicate clearly with stakeholders. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a public transportation ferry location.
Respond to incidents, service disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to established protocols.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of ferry terminals, boarding areas, waiting areas, access points, and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access to restricted areas, observe passenger and visitor activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, maintain required activity logs, and communicate professionally with site personnel and responding public agencies.

Minimum Requirements:

Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
