Registered Nurse-RN Labour & Delivery
12 hr night shift
The registered nurse is an experienced nurse who shall orient new staff, precept students, and assume relief charge nurse duty as oriented and assigned. The L&D unit is a full service birthing center with 13 birthing suites where the RN will be responsible for antepartum, labor, delivery, post-partum, and mother-baby care. We are a BABY FRIENDLY hospital designated by the World Health Organization and UNICEF.
Requirements
Requires absolute minimum of 1 year experience as a licensed RN, in L&D
(School clinical placements do not count towards this.)
Bachelors preferred
NCLEX

Advanced Fetal Monitoring prior to end of orientation
Advanced Fetal Monitoring prior to end of orientation
A minimum of 1 year of current labor and delivery experience is required. Must have knowledge of hemodynamics and basic IV skills, and a thorough understanding of fetal monitoring equipment and tracings. Excellent assessment skills, above average critical thinking skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced often stressful environment and the ability to work autonomously are essential. PACU and scrub skills are highly preferred.
