Job DetailsLevel: EntryJob Location: Poughkeepsie NY - Poughkeepsie, NY 12603Position Type: InternshipSalary Range: $20.00 - $30.00 HourlyThe Poughkeepsie, NY Office of Modjeski and Masters Inc., is seeking students interested in an internship focused on Bridge Design and Analysis.  What We’re Looking For Working towards a BS degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university Ideal Candidate will have completed at least two of following courses, Concrete Design, Steel Design; Prestressed Concrete Design; Structural Analysis. What You’ll Do        Assisting in the review and verification of standard structural design calculations. Supporting the structural analysis and design of bridge components using engineering software tools. Helping develop preliminary design details using CAD software and providing input to CAD technicians for contract plan development. Contributing to design reports by compiling relevant technical information. Communicating effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, in a professional engineering environment. Reviewing and checking engineering drawings under the close supervision of a Senior Engineer. Gain exposure of structural analysis and design software such as LUSAS, RISA-3D, LEAP Bridge, AutoCAD, and MicroStation. Learning and applying relevant design specifications and standards, including AASHTO, AREMA, AISC, and ACI. Why Join Us?
