As a Research Technician here at Solstice Pottsville, you will conduct experiments, collect data, and maintain lab equipment, ensuring accurate research findings to drive innovation and new technologies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plans, prepares and executes process development trials on resin pelletizing, film extrusion and film slitting lines
- Performs tests on films and resinsÂ
- Records and reports trial process data
- Supports R&D efforts by maintaining inventory records, preparing and shipping samples, creating Purchase requisitions
- A basic knowledge of extrusion equipment, set up, running and disassembly/cleaning.Â
- Requires both working independently and working closely with Technology Engineers and R&D group technicians, Operations, Quality as well as the broader business and Technology teams.Â
- Candidate should be detail oriented, have good communication skills, and be able to follow written and oral instructions to accomplish multiple tasks safely.
Some travel (approx 10%) may be required; may require occasional shift coverage (2nd or 3rd shifts) to support production trials
