Overview
Cordoba Corporation is a leading engineering and program management. We are seeking an Engineering Specialist III to join our Energy-Gas sector. The Engineering Specialist III will support and facilitate engineering activities for Utility Gas Storage projects by assembling and organizing data, analyzing information, and recommending action. This role will assist with multiple complex construction projects by facilitating internal and external process requirements. The Engineering Specialist III will monitor project progress and follow-up as needed to support Gas supply and engineering tasks.
Responsibilities
- Provide primary support and serve as coordinator in monitoring the progress of compliance projects and incorporate information from other departments in determining project status.
- Manage large data sets, evaluate data and research irregularities for Gas utility operations.
- Recommend changes to pipeline system to facilitate Compliance Inspections.
- Follow Federal guidelines while managing compliance work and meeting target dates.
- Resolve problems independently, take initiative and prioritize multiple assignments with attention to detail and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Research records for abandonment and as-built information.
- Review completed construction and compliance documentation for accuracy.
- Assure records are appropriately stored and meet retention requirements.
- Monitor SAP for inspection compliance and provide ad hoc reports, facilitate any necessary inspection requirements with stakeholders.
- Review current workflow and processes to look for opportunities to streamline or resolve issues.
- Perform administrative duties related to contracts, regulatory inspections, regulatory filings, annual reporting, internal and external reports.
- Maintain a high degree of confidentiality and attention to detail in performance of job tasks.
Qualifications
Required:
- Two-year college degree in a related technical discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3+ years of experience in project management and/or engineering support in Gas utility operations
Preferred:
- Knowledge and understanding of Gas utility piping systems, policies, and procedures
- Experience reviewing construction drawings, abandonment and as-built information
- Strong analytical and project management skills including the ability to identify needs, evaluate and present results
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects concurrently including effective time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization and across departments
- Experience using ArcGIS and/or Google Earth mapping software
- Experience using SAP software
- Proficiency using the Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Project, Outlook, and Teams
- Strong verbal and written interpersonal communication skills
Pay Range: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
Work Location: Onsite 5 days per week in the Portland, OR office
Visa Sponsorship: Legal authorization to work in the U.S.A. on a full-time basis without sponsorship
Physical Requirements: Ability to pass a pre-authorized physical including a drug-screening and background check
