This position plays a critical role in maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen while supporting the overall restaurant operation. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, works efficiently under pressure, and takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Wash dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment promptly and efficiently. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area throughout the shift. Empty trash and recycling containers as needed. Sweep, mop, and sanitize kitchen floors and work areas. Clean and sanitize food preparation surfaces and kitchen equipment. Restock clean dishes, utensils, and kitchen supplies. Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing deliveries. Support kitchen staff with opening, closing, and general cleaning duties. Follow all company policies, food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and health department regulations. Safely operate dishwashing equipment and properly use cleaning chemicals. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age. Minimum of 3 years of dishwasher or back-of-house restaurant experience is required. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment. Strong work ethic with a positive attitude. Excellent attendance and punctuality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and food safety. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. Repeated bending, reaching, twisting, and stooping. Ability to work in hot, wet, and fast-paced kitchen conditions. Ability to safely operate commercial dishwashing equipment and use cleaning chemicals.
