Location: Remote (Home-Based Day Travel to Jobsites) Pontiac, IL or similar location with good interstate access

Compensation: $55,000-$65,000 annually, plus company truck and full benefits

About the Role

FBi Buildings is hiring a Seamless Gutter Specialist - Post Frame Construction to transport and operate a trailer-mounted seamless gutter forming machine at FBi Buildings jobsites across Illinois. This is a hands-on field role for someone who enjoys driving, working with equipment, and producing accurate, high-quality work.

Prior seamless gutter experience is not required. We can train the right person who is reliable, mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently on active construction jobsites.

What You’ll Do

Drive a company pickup truck pulling a trailer-mounted seamless gutter machine to jobsites across Illinois.
Set up and operate the machine to form seamless gutter runs to jobsite specifications.
Measure, inspect, and produce accurate work with a strong focus on quality and finished appearance.
Load, secure, transport, and care for tools, materials, and equipment.
Perform basic machine checks, cleaning, maintenance, and light troubleshooting.
Coordinate professionally with FBi field crews and jobsite contacts.
Follow safety expectations and represent FBi Buildings well on the road and at customer properties.

Reliable, steady, and punctual.
Comfortable driving, traveling, and working independently.
Hands-on mechanical aptitude and interest in learning equipment operation.
Strong attention to detail with measurements, alignment, and quality.
Experience in residential construction, light commercial construction, equipment operation, agriculture, maintenance, manufacturing, fabrication, press brake work, light sheet metal, or related trades is helpful but not required.
Willingness to learn a specialized process and take pride in doing the job right.

Basic Qualifications

Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Ability to safely pull and maneuver a trailer.
Ability to lift, carry, and handle materials and tools as needed.
Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to read basic job information, follow instructions, and communicate clearly with crews and internal teams.
This position is ideal for someone who likes to drive, enjoys working with their hands, and has the reliability and mechanical aptitude to operate specialized equipment with care.
Candidates from construction, trades, agriculture, manufacturing, or mechanical backgrounds may be a strong fit.
