JOB SUMMARY
Supervises the 24-hour, daily operations of Patient Access at Saint Joseph Health System (SJHS) including coordinating and monitoring staff services at all points of Patient Access. Ensures encounters are in compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, organizational policies and procedures. Ensures accurate billing and demographic information are obtained to effectively register all patients entering SJHS. Ensures third party benefit verification, prior authorizations are obtained, valid physician orders are obtained and facilitates obtaining pre-certification for all patients. Mentors less seasoned colleagues to ensure adequate staffing at all times in Patient Registration.
What You'll Need:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Two (2) to three (3) years experience working in a Pre-service or Patient Access operations with supervisory or lead responsibilities.
Certifications: Obtain National certification in HFMA CRCR, NAHAM CHAA & / or NAHAM CHAM required within one (1) year of hire.
