Job Summary
Maintain a clean and safe work environment in assigned areas.
- Follows and completes work assignments per schedule and procedure. Duties may include dusting, mopping floors, using wet floor signs properly, vacuuming, emptying waste receptacles, disinfecting, restocking, buffing and scrubbing tile floors, and window washing. Communicates from prior shifts, unfinished assignments. Recognizes and assists with duties that need to be performed although not directly assigned; these duties may include requests from within the department and from other departments. Report to and utilize support staff to maintain upkeep of assigned areas. Report any and all mechanical failures, i.e.; faulty wiring, chipped paint, broken furniture, plumbing problems. Request help in moving heavy objects, i.e.; equipment and heavy furniture. Courteously communicates with co-workers, patients and visitors. Performs other duties as assigned. Uses appropriate chemicals and sanitation in cleaning procedures according to policy/procedure manual.
Education and/or Experience/Licensure/Certification
- Education: High School diploma preferred, but not required.
- Experience: Previous experience in cleaning or housekeeping is helpful, but not required. On the job training provided.
Pay
Minimum wage is $17.00 per hour. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
