Description

Vertis Therapy is seeking a Program Director to lead and support our therapy program at a beautiful senior living community in Plant City, Florida, serving both Assisted Living and Independent Living residents. We are looking for a motivated OTA or PTA who enjoys building relationships, supporting a collaborative therapy team, and taking an active role in the growth and success of the program. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to combine hands-on patient care with leadership and program development in a supportive senior living environment. 


The Program Director provides leadership and oversight of the therapy department, including daily operations, staff supervision, scheduling, clinical quality, and coordination with facility leadership. The Program Director works closely with the Regional Manager to ensure Vertis standards, regulatory requirements, and patient-care expectations are met. 


Responsibilities:

Team Leadership: Provide leadership and support to the therapy team, including staff supervision and development.

Department Operations: Assist with daily department operations, scheduling, productivity, and staffing needs.

Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Coordinate with facility leadership, nursing, and other disciplines to support resident care.

Compliance: Ensure therapy services meet Vertis, facility, and regulatory standards.

Patient Assessment and Treatment: Evaluate residents' functional abilities. Establish and execute a plan of care based on individual goals to improve resident's independence and quality of life. 

Documentation: Complete timely and accurate documentation. 

Supervision: Provide appropriate guidance and supervision to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants. 

Professional Development: Participate or lead team development meetings. 

Wellness Programming: Regularly lead community wide wellness programs and events. 


Qualifications:

Education: Degree from an accredited institution in an applicable therapy discipline. 

Licensure:  Valid state license or license eligibility in an applicable therapy discipline. 

Skills: Strong clinical and leadership skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective treatment plans, communicate effectively, and work independently and as part of a team. 

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and assist clients as needed. Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to therapy.

Technology: Computer proficiency to document in electronic medical record platform.
