Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Lead Shop Mechanic – Heavy truck and Equipment, to join our garage in Hazleton, PA. Knowledge of welding/fabrication and leadership experience are strongly preferred. 

 Shop Location: Hazleton PA.

Compensation will vary based on experience, skills, and qualifications.

Job Description:

  • Work with our Team to Repair and refurbish Fleet trucks and equipment for resale
  • Perform mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic work with accuracy and efficiency
  • Troubleshoot and repair both major and minor mechanical and electrical issues
  • Communicate effectively with management regarding parts needs, additional repairs, and approvals
  • Work with our Fabrication team to develop and fabricate truck bodies, dump beds and other projects we do for outside customers
  • Manage multiple tasks while maintaining organization, quality, and timelines
  • Provide hands-on support in fabrication and general shop duties as needed

Qualifications

  • Valid drivers license with clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in a garage environment
  • Knowledge of Trucks and equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems preferred
  • Welding experience – would be a plus
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and goal-oriented with a passion for quality and completion of projects given
  • Own tools required for automotive repair and diagnostics
  • Willingness to learn, take directions, and ask questions
  • Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude and resilience
