Environmental Health & SafetyĀ LeadershipĀ Program Description:Ā 

The Environmental Health & Safety Leadership Program (EHSLP) is designed to prepare candidates for EHS roles within our North American manufacturing facilities. It provides early exposure to leadership training, accelerating their careers with various post-program paths, including EHS Leadership roles. Participants complete the entire program at an Owens Corning manufacturing plant. This 24-month structured development offers mentorship from experienced EHS leaders, specialists, and engineers, providing experiential and formal training in the following areas:Ā 

  • Management systems understanding & implementationĀ 

  • Procedure & policy development and implementationĀ Ā 

  • Training & development and deliveryĀ 

  • Regulatory processĀ 

  • Project managementĀ 

  • People leadership influenceĀ 

  • Manufacturing process knowledgeĀ

Program Outcome:Ā Upon completion, participants will be placed in a full-time assignment as a EHS Leader or Specialist at a North American Owens Corning manufacturing plant.Ā

Selection Criteria:Ā 

  • PreferredĀ bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & SafetyĀ management, ChemicalĀ engineeringĀ or an equivalent fieldĀ 

  • PreviousĀ relevant internships/co-ops in a manufacturing settingĀ Ā 

  • Analytical andĀ problem-solvingĀ skillsĀ 

  • Ability to lead projects and development project plansĀ 

  • Demonstrated leadership in professional, service, or social organizationsĀ Ā 

  • Willingness and flexibility toĀ relocateĀ (assistanceĀ provided) during or upon completion of the programĀ

Participants are based at various manufacturing sites in the US.Ā
