Assist the Communication program with clerical, academic, and research support duties. Maintain confidentiality, support projects, and provide classroom assistance as needed.Â
Responsibilities and Career Competencies:
- Maintain confidentiality including FERPA, be punctual, and communicate schedule changes in advance – L, PÂ
- Provide clerical support including proofreading, photocopying, filing, and assigned projects – TWÂ
- Use superior verbal and written communication, especially APA writing style – C, CTÂ
- Use MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and compile data using software programs – TÂ
- Assist with development of course resources – T, C, CTÂ
- Work independently and efficiently; guide students using available resources – CT, P, LÂ
- Prioritize responsibilities and meet deadlines – L, CTÂ
- Be available to assist in class as a TA, including monitoring exams – L, P, CTÂ
- Dress appropriately for the work environment – PÂ
- Monitor and post to social media accounts – P, T, CSDÂ
- Grade assignments as directed by faculty, -- T, CT, P, CTR
