Position Summary:

Cutter Aviation is looking for an energetic, self-sufficient individual to join our team as an Accountant/Analyst. The Accountant/Analyst reports directly to the Controller.


Responsibilities (as primary or back-up) may include:

GL Accounting

  • Various month end closing responsibilities including journal entries and related account reconciliations.
  • Mulitiple Bank Account Reconciliations
  • Monthly or Quarterly Fuel Inventory Reconciliations and related system adjustments and journal entries.
  • Weekly fuel cost reporting, related pricing and cost updates, and system maintenance.
  • Develop expertise in X-1 FBO (Fuel Sales & Inventory Management System)
  • Fuel Load acccounting, tracking and reporting
  • Preparing / Generating / Reviewing monthly & quarterly financial statements
  • Various monthly reporting due to the City of Phoenix
  • Assist with Fixed Asset System.
  • Assist with Cores /Rotables Accounting.
  • Various year end responsibilities inlcuding coordination with auditors
  • Assist with or review - Sales Tax Compliance & Reporting.
  • Account payables / Accounts receivables. Possibly some Management or Supervision in these areas
  • Assist with new acquisition entity transition and accounting.
  • Special projects as needed.
  • Various other tasks and duties as assigned.

Financial Analyst

  • Assist CFO with various projects.
  • Forecasting and Planning assist CFO.
  • Data analysis and reporting using Power BI and other software.
  • Insurance Review and understand the various policies. Coordinate the annual renewal process including the maintaining and preparation of required reports and information. Manage claim activity, etc.
  • Real Estate Leases Review and understand the leases including the terms and requirements including defined increases and capital outlays. Work with outside accounting firm to assure compliance with new lease accounting (FASB ASC 842) requirements.


Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  • 5+ years accounting experience.
  • Analysis & planning experience.
  • CPA a plus
  • Dynamics 365 Business Central experience a plus
  • Power BI experience preferred.
  • FinQuery / LeaseQuery experience a plus

Other Requirements:

  • Possess a valid driver’s license and a have clean driving record.
  • Able to pass a background check.
  • Ability to pass a drug screening test.
