Position: Phones/Scheduling

Who We Are:

At North Valley ENT, we are dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare services to our patients. Our team of experienced ENT specialists and healthcare professionals work collaboratively to offer comprehensive and compassionate care. As a Phones/Scheduling, is responsible for greeting patients, managing phone calls, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and providing excellent customer service to ensure smooth daily operations of the practice. This role is the first point of contact for patients and requires professionalism, accuracy, and strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

•Answer and direct incoming phone calls promptly and professionally.

•Assist with referrals, or medical record requests as needed.

•Manage incoming faxes, forms, and patient paperwork, route appropriately.

•Maintain accuracy of patient information in the electronic health record (EHR).

•Verify insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments when needed.

•Handle general inquiries, route messages to clinical staff, and manage voicemail.

•Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments.

•Provide backup support to other front office staff as required.

•Greet and check in patients; verify demographics, insurance, and collect copayments or balances.

•Check out patients, schedule follow-up appointments, and provide visit-related information.

•Ensure compliance with HIPAA and office policies regarding patient confidentiality.

•Helping surgery schedulers with Authorization for procedures and Benefits Verification.
