Position/Project Overview:Â
Project Solutions Inc. is seeking a Construction Manager to provide to provide construction management advisory services to the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) during the construction and closeout phases of the Flagstaff United States Courthouse lease construction project.
This role is contingent upon award of project.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide Construction Manager as Advisor (CMa) support to the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) during the construction and closeout phases of the projectÂ
- Serve as the on-site construction management representative, attending the project site regularly throughout constructionÂ
- Monitor construction activities and perform site observations and inspections to help verify compliance with project requirementsÂ
- Participate in and document project meetings, including coordination meetings with project stakeholdersÂ
- Review and evaluate project schedules, construction progress, and schedule updatesÂ
- Review and analyze cost proposals, change orders, and related construction documentationÂ
- Prepare reports and provide recommendations to GSA regarding construction progress, issues, risks, and project statusÂ
- Support project turnover and closeout activities, including punch list review, final inspections, and closeout documentation
Required Education, Knowledge and Skills
Education/Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or Business Management from an accredited college/university; or 7+ years of construction management leadership experience in lieu of a degree
​​Experience:
- Demonstrated experience managing complex, long-term, multi-year construction or capital projectsÂ
- Proven ability to develop, monitor, and manage project budgets, including funding and cost control activitiesÂ
- Experience coordinating project schedules and construction activities within occupied or operational facilitiesÂ
- Strong background leading multidisciplinary teams, including technical professionals, consultants, and support staffÂ
- Ability to balance and integrate multiple project priorities, requirements, and stakeholder interests throughout project executionÂ
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local government building projects, including applicable review, approval, and compliance processesÂ
- Experience preparing project correspondence, reports, presentations, and maintaining official project documentationÂ
- Excellent communication skills with experience facilitating meetings and presenting project updates to clients, stakeholders, and leadership teams

- Strong ability to develop and control project budgets and funding strategies
- Strong project scheduling and coordination skills, including managing interactions among existing and occupied facilities
- Ability to manage interdisciplinary teams of professionals and supporting staff
- Ability to integrate competing or conflicting project requirements into planning and execution processes
- Knowledge of Federal and local government building projects, including procedural, review, and approval requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writingÂ
- Ability to prepare correspondence, written reports, and maintain official project recordsÂ
- Ability to conduct meetings and brief clients and management personnel
