Job Title: Equipment Operator

Job Location: Leer South Mining Complex (Philippi, WV)

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Operating at a minimum of three pieces of heavy equipment and support equipment on a refuse impoundment.  Equipment operation includes: 775 haul trucks, D-8 dozer, D-6 dozer, 16G grader, 988H loader, and vibrating roller.
• Must be involved with our “STEEL” safety program by performing “Rivets” (observations) on co-workers and communicate the findings
• Dozer operation will include reclamation of slopes and running grade on fill
• Fuel, lube, and perform routine maintenance checks on a variety of mining equipment. 
• Assist with moving light plants and slurry lines. 
• Clean equipment as necessary.
• All other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Must have a work ethic that allows him/her to demonstrate his/her ability daily with minimal supervision.
• Must have excellent interpersonal/communication skills and an ability to work with others in a team environment.
• Must be willing to work in adverse conditions including, but not limited to, extreme heat, cold, dust, rain, snow and wind, as well as frequent contact with grease and dirt.
• Must demonstrate consistent and reliable attendance.
• Must be able to work rotating shifts.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

POSITION WILL REPORT TO: Refuse Site Supervisor
