Job Description – Day Porter (School)

Position Title: Day Porter
Location: Philadelphia, PA 19131
Schedule: Monday through Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour

Position Summary

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Day Porter to join our team at a school located in Philadelphia, PA 19131. The Day Porter is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors throughout the school day.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain restrooms throughout the day.
• Empty trash and replace liners.
• Sweep, mop, and maintain hallways, entrances, cafeterias, and common areas.
• Clean spills and respond promptly to custodial requests.
• Refill restroom supplies and other cleaning materials.
• Clean glass doors, windows, and high-touch surfaces.
• Set up and break down tables and chairs for school activities.
• Monitor the facility and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Perform additional custodial duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Janitorial or custodial experience is preferred but not required.
• Reliable, dependable, and punctual.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must successfully complete all required background checks to work in a school.
