What You'll Do

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will: 

  • Assist individuals with personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.
  • Prepare meals and provide feeding assistance when needed.
  • Support daily living skills and independence.
  • Assist individuals with community outings, appointments, recreational activities, and social opportunities.
  • Provide companionship, encouragement, and emotional support.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming residential environment.
  • Implement individualized support plans and goals.
  • Promote dignity, respect, choice, and person-centered services.
  • Support individuals in developing confidence, skills, and greater independence.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure the highest quality of care.

Qualifications

Required

  • Must be at least 20 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to pass:
    • State and Federal criminal background checks
    • Drug screening
    • Pre-employment physical and PPD

Preferred

  • Further education in Human Services, Psychology, Education, Nursing, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Previous experience providing direct support, caregiving, or similar services.
  • CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain certification.

Schedule

  • Full-Time 
  • Sunday through Wednesday
  • Overnight Shift: 11:00 PM – 9:00 AM
  • Includes weekend hours with weekend differential pay
  • Additional flexibility may be required to support program needs

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to assist individuals with mobility and activities of daily living.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift as needed throughout the shift.
  • Ability to maintain a safe environment and respond appropriately in emergency situations.
  • Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
